          Your water drops should originate from slightly inside the glass, IIRC. I think what we did was duplicate the bottle, scale it in to 99.9 % of size, and then use that as the displacement object. I've done it so many different ways (mental ray, vray, maxwell, fry etc.) that I can't remember for sure because they all work a bit differently.

          Worth a try though.
