great facelifting: it's like a step in another century

though it would be harder, if the existing building totally lacks of some architectural quality. how old is it? looks like pre 2nd world war modernism.

    congrats

        great job

As always great job - your renderings have such a nice feel to them - I think you succeeded with this one-

I would like to know if you could share with as the settings that you use , i have tried for lot of times to render images of big buildings and almost never can take good results , only for little images, and i'm almost crazy with this... hehe

                A quote:

Alucobond is an aluminum composite material composed of two strong sheets of .020" gauge aluminum and a polyethylene core. It is lightweight, rigid, and corrosion resistant.

I really like the building. Very nice design.
but the renders are very poor.... Vray can do it better....
                  just kidding.. not bad

                    Kinda Off Topic!

Just been tryin to figure out for the love of god how to get my reflections not looking so sharp...becasue VRAY uses its own raycasting engine and not maxes (i know how to adjust Max 5's raytrace blur offset but that has no effect in vray)...just wondering is it all based on the glossiness of the material, on how the reflections turn out...

or is there a place i can adjust the burriness of my reflections...
i want to create a white shiny plastic and have been tryin to use vrays material but not getting very far...it seems so limited...especially balancing highlights and refelctions...but i know its possible...

                    Thanks in ADVANCE!

You can do that on two aways, one is lower the glossi value from the default one, and another is with a falloff on the glossiness slot. On this images a have the second option with a distance blend falloff.

                      hope this helps you!

And thanks all for the nice comments!

                        Beautiful!!

I love the fact that you did not put any cg people or cars in the scene! I really dislike them and they take away fron the realism of the image. Your lighting is perfect for the sky you chose. Great job!
