    Hello,

Can't remember the last time I posted on here but have been working with some new settings and would really appreciate anyone's feedback. As far as I can see I still have some playing to do with anti-aliasing.

    The settings I used were:

    Gamma and LUT
    Enable Gamma/Lut Correction.
    Gamma 2.2
    Affect colour selectors
    Affect Material Editor
    Input Gamma: 2.2
    Output Gamma: 1.0

    Vray Settings

    Max FB: off
    Vray FB: on
    sRGB button checked
    Save as .vrimg

    Anti-aliasing:
    Adaptive subdivision

    Colour mapping:
    Exponential
    Dark Multiplier: 1.0
    Bright Multiplier: 1.0
    Gamma: 1.0
    Sub-pixel: unchecked
    Clamp output: unchecked
    Affect background: checked
    Don't affect colours: unchecked
    Linear workflow: unchecked

    Irradiance map:
    Medium
    HSph. subdivs: 40
    Interp.samples: 20
    Least squares/density-based

    Light cache:
    Subdivs: 1000
    Sample size: 0.002
    Store direct light: checked

I think the tinted green glass looks a little too green personally, and the carpet looks a bit 'heavy'.

Nice render otherwise, maybe try it with higher IR/LC.

      hi nate...

      nice render...

can i ask where you have placed the lights? are they in the ceiling sat under the actual light or is it lit from the windows of the exterior of the builiding?

I do alot of offices myself and always interested in how people light them!

be good to share some settings....

      cheers

      Neal...

        Hey, thanks for the comments.

The tinted glass is the client's request as they wanted more colour injected, I quite like it although it is perhaps a bit strong, same with the carpet.

The lighting is a mixture, I've got a VRay Sun/sky in there, VRay lights at the window in a light blue shade, another Vray light right underneath the ceiling set to a light yellow and an additional VRay sphere light inside the lampshade but excluding everything else.

I tend to use this set-up most of the time now with the sun/sky, plane light at the windows and another on the ceiling. Generally it means that I can then just use additional lights for spotlights etc but rarely turn the shadows on on these.

I am slowly trying to move over to LWF but don't seem to ba able to get the hang of linear colour mapping without getting patches of light burn
