    Hi guys,
...finally found the time to work on something new...

    - polymodelling
    - vray 1.5 sp4
    - lots of evermotion trees as proxies
    - vray fur for grass
    - post in photoshop

the image rendered in 3k on 4x core2quad in ~20mins and used about 4 gigs of ram.

    c&c welcome

    that's awesome.

Tree on the right pulls in a bit much for my liking - looks a bit like an artificial framing. I'd have prefered it just creeping in lower down and seeing more of the sky.

Not a major crit though - the building itself is flawless.
The textures and structure around the roof are very well done.

edit: do a short handheld animation!

Just saw this on Evermotion. Very nice indeed.
What sort of settings are you using to get such a fast render time at this scale and with Vrayfur?

Pretty sweet, very satured and blured but this work well, the view angle is very good like the comp.
I don't like the grass, I think it deserve your image but the overall is great.
          Congrat's !

look at this image and then imagine badly done glass. It'd be something completely different. Incredible job.

Nicely done. Grass feels a bit soft compared to the rest, maybe sharpen it up a bit as a cheat?

                Awesome image!

I agree about the grass though, it looks more like fur than like grass (less soft). The rest of the image is flawless imo.

Superb. What (if anything) did you use as reference? Agree that a handheld animation would be nice - would be utterly fantastic if the trees and grass swayed gently in the wind

                          grass and stones

                          hey guys,

I updated the scene...the grass looks now more like grass and not fur and the stones got a better texture.

oops...accidentely overwrote the image that was on the webserver...so the displayed image on page 1 is already the updated version.

                          thx for c&c
