Can you tell us more about the horsepower settings?

Very nice modeling and render. Why not try to put the HDRI as the environnement map as well?

actually the HDRI is in the enviroment slot only , the image is lit by a single area light similar in shape to the highlight in the HDRI map

the material is fairly simple...its a standard max material, vraymap in the raytrace slot, HDRI for the enviroment. Falloff in the filter map covers a fresnel type effect. Theres GI on it as well, just to get some subtle bounce, the enviroment overides max's and is a dark almost black colour.

At the moment the GI is set to -2,-1 samples, interp 40, AA is 2 & 6, and the area light is set to 16 samples....takes about 25mins for this size on a p4 2.6 ghz

Nice modeling. Looks as if it can fly with all those air intakes

the design of the car is down to the game we made this model for...its a little OTT in some ways, the wheels need junking in favour of some better ones..

... that's the environnement I was talking about.

BTW, can you tell more about the game itself? Maybe will you post some other cars images?

The game was Racing Evoluzione for Infogrames (now Atari)

Theres some shots of the promo artwork on our site, but these were rendered in max's scanline so we probably wont post them here.

We're working on a title at the moment that will be rendered in vray, so perhaps we'll make a post when its released in a few months

I dropped into your site and
Those cars are rendered with scanline?! Congratulations to you and your team! Awesome work overall.
