  • Image Upload test - Treadmill

Sorry guys and girls. I just need to see whether my images are finally being uploaded to this site.

If anyone can actually see the attached image, could you please let me know. It should be an image of a treadmill and a stepper.

    Thanks.

Bummer. If I can't even see it, I can't expect anyone else too.

Vlado/Peter, please don't delete this thread yet. I've got to consult my web hosters to figure out my problem. I really do want to share some of my images with the rest of you guys.

    Thanks.

you could try using the URL rather than the FTP address. It asks me to enter your FTP username and password

please excuse my website ignorance, but what's the difference between the URL and FTP address? Do you mean http://?

        Thanks Dogzilla.

the webspace i offered is still available.

and the diff between the 2 is this:
http: A protocol used to request and transmit files, especially webpages and webpage components, over the Internet or other computer network

ftp: A communications protocol governing the transfer of files from one computer to another over a network.

what you want to do is http. ftp is really only good for putting files up so that they can be shown thru http.

Thanks Psy, It all makes sense now. Thanks again for setting up the account for me. Luckily I won't need it. I think you've helped me sort out my posting problem already.

Fingers crossed. this one should work.

Although this is just a posting test image, comments are still welcome.

            Thanks for everyone's perserverance.

By the way, I didn't build the model. It came from www.the3dstudio.com

no problem, it was just a friendly offer.

now on to your image, if you were aiming for just a general global illumination look, then your image does look very nice in that respect. i don't think much more can be said tho. an environment would do it some good. hint, hint.
