  • Demo Reel - modeling, lighting, compositing

    Hey guys!
Here is my demo reel containing things I've done in 2010 and 2011.
I'am using Maya, 3ds max, vray and After effects for post processing.
I've done this in between jobs on my home computers intel i7 and 12gigs of ram and a dual xeon 2.0ghz machine.

Great work. I like the short breakdown and the wireframes of your models. Everything has that "brand new" look. Might be a little too clean except the bulldozer of course.

Lovely reel - not a huge amount of different jobs in it but all of them are of a really high standard and the breakdowns are useful to show case your talents too. You're due a lot of job offers!

jophus14 : Thanks very much! yeah I was trying to show that I can do some polished and realy dirty models. Right now I'am working on a Matchmoving reel with some of the models from the reel.

joconnell : Thank you! Yes your right... It was sort of a break from my regular job (arch viz) I thought it is finally time to learn some new stuff. As for the job offers ... As for the job offers. Fingers crossed

          Hey Guys!
Here is something I've been doing lately.
My first attempt on matchmoving. I've used my canon 5dmk2 for the video and 24p for a "cinematic look" (hope it helps lol).
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Very nice, could you elaborate a bit on how you used photoshop 3d to texture?

raymarcher : there is not much to elaborate. I just imported a uv'd model into photoshop and started to paint. You can see the process in my making of video on youtube.

glorybound : Thank you very much! Its a complete switch for me becouse for the past 4 years I've been doing architectural visualizations.
Still you need gear (canon 5d isnt cheap) and a lot of time to learn a few things ... unfortunetly

                Thanks again!
                Have a good weekend!

What was the difference in rendertime for the motion blur on the helicopter?

Hey GatesB I was rendering it with vray and a single frame (when the helicopter was the closest to the camera) was about a minute in 480p. Everything was rendered at once, no separate pass for MB
