  • Bowling Alley Addition

Here is an image I am working on. It is an addition to a bowling alley in Wisconsin. I still have some iterations, but so far it is working out nicely. Any feedback to make it better would be wonderful. I plan on adding grunge in post, but not until I get some design feedback from the architect, who is working with his client, I'll hold off.

Looking nice.. except few things like the road in front side looking empty which is making view little incomplete.. i can see lens flare effect which i doubt will be visible as your scene is lit from sun behind camera.. I have always noticed a glow in your images which gives it nice soft look but in this visual it looks little more thn usual.. specially on the trees behind building.. but this all is my observation.. may be i am wrong would like to see the final image later.. cheers!

I see a little strange texture of the road.
I think the picture would gain much if you could improve, because that is in the foreground.

      Regards.

yes. I am going t work on the road texture. I'll probably crop most of it out anyway.

          Updated Bowling Alley Addition

I haven't heard from the Architect, but I spent a little more time on the scene anyway. Here is an update.

Although I haven't heard back, I did get both the 50% deposit check and final payment today... he is a great client!

Nice. The cropping and texturing really made the road look good, and helps make the image look even more believable.

This might be really picky, but I can tell no one is driving that car on the left, at the stop light

I actually thought of that, but got side tracked. I Google the cars so I could cut/paste the headlights in and I was going to do the same for the from window.

There is a noticeable crack in the road diffuse that is a huge gap. also the color of the road is too magenta imo, take it toward cyan/blue a bit and photoshop out the gap, make a nice bump and voila! I do like this rendering, it's very different from your usual stuff!

I'll work on it.... Something behind the screens wouldn't hurt, to give it more depth, but I am not very good adding people. I did watch a good tutorial on people and photoshop last week, I might try, using some of their techniques.

                            Glorybound thanks for sharing.
I'm surprised at how to create shadows and lighting of model.
I usually do something else, but this is more natural.

                            Regards.

Thanks.... how would you have set up the lighting? A lot of scenes I see on-line seem to be fictitious projects that don't have real world coordinates, but the projects you see me post are real jobs in real places. This job is in the Northern Hemisphere and I could have either had a sun set, which would bring the sun behind the camera (the owner picked the view), or a mid-day, which is what you see.
