  • Hdri test

    Hi,
here I've tested to put an Hdri MAP.
I put it in the background GI.
Does the result is correct or my settings are bad?
What kind of parameter I must change to erase this bad hexagonal effect under the teapot?

    Cheers.

When you want to post an image most people use http://www.imageshack.us - then post that link

Also jpgs probably aren't the best bet for an hdr image - the jpg format is ldr.

Try flipping the plane over and see if it helps.

I confirm, this is a pb of reversing side.
            Thx.

Inverted normals are a bit of a problem in rendering in general, but more so in VRay. The other issue is that SketchUp isn't neccessarily very attentive to which direction normals are facing. If there is geometry that is causing issues 3 out of 4 times it has to do with either inverted normals or overlapping faces.
