    Re: just posting my revisions

    jeff,

your last images are very nice. did you start using Depth of field on thise chairs? i like those neutral colors. the floor pattern is nice too. unfortunately the tile grouts did not match. the blurry reflection is very realistic. some good points from david in adding bumps and nice link too. bit tweakings will gonna elevate you more using this software. overall good job jeff.

          Jeff
The new posting is looking good. However, the sky seems very bright and the scene is very contrasty. I would tone this down in photoshop to get a reduced contrast. Or, if you have the sky as a HDRI environment (?) maybe you need to reduce the multiplier. Also you may have the bump set the wrong way round (inverted) on the textured brickwork, as the joints appear to project out. I would be tempted to get some dappled shade from the trees onto the building - what do you think?

            Re: just posting my revisions

this is only a practice in exterior. all your comments are right it really needs lots of revisions. if ill have an exterior project ill make it more realistic. i focus only in the setting of this render. the backgroud is not hdri its only jpeg. and about the contrast im not so sure maybe my monitor is too dark. i thought the shadow of the tree will project to the floor base from my shadow setting .. thanks for the comments hope to hear more...

                Hi Santos,

Great work overall, especially those interiors are very good looking.
I must say however, the exterior images aren't as convincing.
By the looks of it, Vray does an outstanding job rendering interior scenes.
What about exteriors, are they more difficult to make photoreal?

I would like to know your experience with exterior rendering using Vray and the difficulties you encounter.

Thanks and keep up that good work.

                  Jeff

I was interested in your throway comment about using displacement on the roof. You may have read elsewhere on the forum of the problems some (or all?) of us are having with getting any displacement, so I would be interested to know how you have used it.
The last image is rather bright and contrasty (are you still using that laptop computer, or do you get that effect in your climate?).
Two suggestions 1- reduce the brightness in vray and reduce the contrast in photoshop, 2- I suggest it just then needs some customizing e.g. glass reflections, a house number, a satalite dish(?), kerbs on the pavement, gutter (if they are needed) etc. just to give some further realism.

Let us know about the displacement.

                  Thanks

                  David

                    Re: just posting my revisions

i jus t follow the manual regarding the displacement. no difference to the bump procedure..
it just need a black and white image.greyscale of the texture.

thanks for the comments i hope you understand my explaination
