  • My glass of wine

    Hi todos,

the 3dben post made me remember one of my old scenes (brazil beta time)
Today I've render it with Vray. ...not too bad this renderer...

    Lighting by the kitchen probe.

to be honest, i dont like the table/floor texture. It is overly used. (i personally hate that texture, it is everywhere). i suggest you to use something less saturated more sattle. it is too bright and saturated.
    The rest is perfect!

btw, no matter what, i like the kitchen probe. i really cant find that perfect hdri. Most of them are evenly bright, but kitchen probe is not.

Looks great, I agree the plank texture is overused but I have to say that your rendition is one of the best I have seen

Looks great! The onlt thing that gives it away as 3d is the AA on the labels edges. Other than that, beautiful.

I like the saturation of the table material myself, often times we tend to desaturate colors to much in a scene and it looks artifical. With bright direct light such as this, I think the saturation is right on.

to be honest... your image is perfect

                - nice modeling
                - nice materials
                - nice placement
                - nice colors
                - nice DOF

The only thing I see is that.... I prefer the Bordeaux to the Bourgogne

After the "refraction" discussion in an other thread, I can say that the wine refraction in the glass is wrong..

Only one thing: where's the cork? And how about some cheese?

Your image is really great. Kitchen probe must be the most famous hdri .

Can you render the same image with a little push modifier for the wine objects to test "true refraction" (wine will fill the side of the glass as in reallity)

Can you post your materials settings and Gi settings ?

                      French?

                          >3dben> I'll post the mat/settings next time

                            Very nice image

...however IMHO the glass table seems a strange addiction, perhaps to hightech for this kind of product... and makes the red wine bottle float in the image.

                            Congrats,

                            Gonçalo
