These really are wonderful images. As well as the model itself being very impressive, you have set up very atmoshperic lighting to complement the scene.
I would be interested to know more about the model itself - the sea and the ship.
Did you use sketchup sandbox to manipulate the sea - and has the ship been your part time hobby, there is obviously a lot of work in it - is it HMS Victory?
(I also have experience the same problem with changing a after linking it, and had to delete it and start again)
very compelling ideas youve got there. i really like the continous development of idea. one thing that really makes me wonder is the water. in real scenario would it be like that? wave over big waves. the water i think needs further tweaking. now it looks like crumpled metallic object. of course upon saying this i myself dont know how to do it. but it will be a good challenge if we are aiming for greater realism.
As usual, great work from master Biebel! Can you post here the canvass material that you used on the sails? I love it and I really wanted to use that in some components. Thanks in advance sir.
