  • architecture renderings

    Hello,

i made a visualisation for an architect.
It is a design for an auction house in belgium.

First pucture is the big hall, second the foyer and the third is a perspective of the front side.
A birds view is rendering on the machine at the moment.

I uloaed smaller sizes- the original files are 4000x2000

Everything modelled in rhino and rendered in Vray...

    greetings

    Jonas

    Nice conceptual renderings.

I like the white, half transparent billboard people. Good idea, the interior get life, but the people dosn't distract.

Maybe at the first image the exterior area could be brighter for a better inside-outside contrast.

      Re: architecture renderings

Here is the birds view of the building.
In my opinion it is always difficult to make a interesting picture which shows the whole building from birds view.
On the one hand you want to show everthing, on the other you can hardly get so much detail without loosing the focus on the design itself.
So i decided this time to make a more abstract picture with glossy ground and abstact white buildings around.
Also a rather night athmosphere with artifical illumination was on my mind.
      Here is the result:

With modelling and visualisation it was work for four days...
I think it is a good time

      have a nice day

        Re: architecture renderings

Nice job. I love doing the shadow people...it's a more conceptual thing but works just as good as real people. On the last camera of the whole building I would take some reflection off the site floor, it looks like dirty water and the surrounding buildings reflect off it too much. I would also do the trees the same white shadow effect on ps...I've done orange shadow people with matching trees and it came out rather nice. One last thing...i think the cladding might be a bit on the large side on the birds view. I'm not expert...just another student.

Nice concepts Fam_ark. I think you need to scale up the Le Corbusier chairs in the 2nd image.

            Hey Fam_ark,
I know its been a while since you posted this, but I just saw it and really liked your exterior rendering of the entrance.

I'm in the middle of trying to put together an exterior shot myself, and was wondering if you could share your settings? and possibly what you used to light the interior of the same scene?

            nice work!

              Hi,

              thanks for your compliment first.

I will look for the settings of the scene and post when i found them. At the moment our server is not working fine thats why i cant upload them right now .

I remember using light cache and quasimotecarlo engine.

To lighten the interior just use rectangular light and some light emmiting surfaces from vray.

After that make some color correction and stuff in photoshop.

              best regards

              jonas

                nice interiors!

I especially like the 'old school' outlined people. I even noticed they are casting soft shadows, so can you share your settings?

Also, do you have to manually rotate each person to be perpendicular to the camera, or was there a script that would do that?

                  Re: architecture renderings

                  Hello,

you can download the settings here:

                  http://rapidshare.com/files/13503352...um.visopt.html

They are half a year old- maybe i improved them with the time.
No warranty if the settings are optimal .

                  @ schultze

i use billboard in two ways:

                  1. make them in photoshop and create a shadow... etc

                  2. use of pictures with alpha mask ( put the for e.g. jpg file in diffuse channel and the alpha in transparency)

For rotating the billboards is use the script i found in michas toolbar (which is very good) works quite fine!
Using the second method you have some unobtrusive shadows and reflections!

                  regards
