            Re: Office Park sunset

            Hi Ibontxu , Hello 112...

I got also a architecture degree, did my time in some offices, now we just started our 3D company.
About the rendering, I'm not a power user of photoshop I learn slowly and use a lot of basic techniques ( masks, gradient with different blending, blurs,..) can't really explain :-\
Oh yeah , one of my greatest hinds : my partner and I bought a Nikon D80 and we take as much pictures we can. We have know a huge library of grasses, skies, facades, trees, peoples,... just cut, paste and crop

About Vray, yes sometimes I use EXR if I need resolution more than 4000x4000px but I try to optimize the rendering time ( 1 hour ) and spend all the energy in Photoshop. I think it is the better way to express the creativity and make our work different than the other 3D companies
Second Hints, I manage to create masks ( Material ID, or Object ID ) to simplify the selection process in 'toshop.

The use of 3D engine in our company is kind of new ( from in first release of Vray actually ) before that we manage to create our renderings straight from Sketchup and 'Toshop. You can see by yourself by crawling our website www.quickit.be

Try to ask specific questions, and I would be delighted to answer them

            Cheers
            Tom

                  Re: Office Park sunset

                  Hey 112,

All the greeneries are photoshoped from our image data bank. I think we got 500+ grass pictures (different point of vue, sunlight, saisons,..) same for water, skies,reflections,...

The idea is do create files easily modificable, as you know clients are rarely sure of them choices ( bricks color, glass,..) and they often ask us to drasticly change the textures.

                  Tom

Clean cut design and render Tom. Nice work! Thanks for the tips regarding procedural noise. I'm working on it now. Cheers!

i agree some very inspiration stuff there, its nice to see after such a long time of leaning towards such heavy realism...
