URGENT HELP...NEED RENDERED SECTION CUT

I need urgent help pleasee...

Is there a way to RENDER a SECTION CUT in SU with Vray? I dont think the section cut shows if you try to render it....Am I wrong?

I cant think too clearly because I have a deadline in 10 hours....if anybody knows how I would appreaciate it!

Sorry but I don't think you can do that with Vray skecthup

You have to cut off half of your model and render it...

Yep, thats how it works. You can also transfer the bits that you don't want to see onto a layer that you turn off (if you don't want to destroy your model). Vray doesn't render the turned off layers.

you can use "save as" and do what you want with the copy thats what i do.

i've had the same problem... i think i've stumbled across the solution, i was able to render a section without chopping off my model or turning layers off. i think it will work for you too just as long as you stick to a parallel projected view (check "parallel projection" under the CAMERA tab). then, using sketchup's "position camera" command, place the camera along the section line (i positioned a section plane first just to know where to locate my camera). notice that the screen no longer displays the part of the model that are behind your newly positioned camera. vray, with its default settings, shall be able to render it that way. you can also use a "standard view", say a the front elevation button, if you want to get a standard section view. if you got time, you might want to try it. it worked for me.. and oh, "save as" first like nektares said!
