That looks very nice, indeed! You don't need the lens flare, though. The image can surely stand it's ground without that kind of 'tricks'. (Yes! That IS a compliment.)

Would you mind terribly posting those altered "Mado settings"? The quality/time ratio seems excellent.

          Re: Penthouse Design

I always liked your renders, and of course, this one too. But if it was mine, I think I was trying something with that stairs. Everything else looks OK, models, materials, lightning...
          Congrats

Very nice renderings, but I do agree about the stairs. I have a similar scene at the moment with the same issue - stairs same colour as wall - almost invisible. I changed the colour of the stairs, in my case to timber - fixed.
Here in the uk you would not be able to get approval for a stair with no handrail - a chrome one would look good!

Looks better without the lens flare! The experts are right about the colour of the stairs, though.

Goed gedaan! Mooie render. ("Well done. Nice render.")

excellent rendering dirk. it seems you have thick glass on that stair right? i think you need to work out your glass material. it seems to me that it has blurry reflection thats why you have all those kinds of noise. reflected by your light source. if you dont want to refelect too much for the glass, yet you still have refelction i suggest, you darken way way down your fresnel color. and be sure your refract color is totally black.

Now that Nomer has mentioned it, I see that there is glass in front of the stair, I didn't see it before. That glass definately needs reflections sorting out, unless it is not reflective glass (!).

yup, dit is interresant om te sien hoe naby die tale is...

are you using refraction on that glass? i found i got a good result from putting a 40% opacity on a flat colour, with no refraction
