      nice hdri too.
thanx the visopt was a default setting that came with the software "irradiance low" i think wat realy made the diff was the hdri.

Not so much rendering, but it took me some time to model this stairs...I really like it, or after the hours of modeling, I HAVE to like it ;D ;D ;D

Re: Post your Simple Render here.

Thanks allot Nomer, I really want to model my entire scene, and thanks to the ruby's, I rediscover sketchup once again. I try to model right now an Herman Miller office chair, but it's so hard...
Look how my stair will look (I'm sorry, but I wasn't let the rendering up to finish):

PS: how to get softer shadows, since I overwrite the sun with hdri, and can not access the sun parameters?

Re: Post your Simple Render here.

I used BzRoundEdge(for edges, but there is an option for affecting the surfaces connected with the selected edges) and TubeAlongPath.
Ooh..and Projection..I was using a section of the central beam and I was projecting that over one plane, and then I made that brackets for perfect fitting.

Re: Post your Simple Render here.

this it's the chair that I struggle to model, and what I learned, was the fact that I'll browse for models after this scene ( that's why good 3d models aren't for free). It's so hard to know what you want to do ,but thinking from where to start and how.
So...ONLY RENDER THE CHAIR ,DON'T MODEL THE CHAIR!

Re: Post your Simple Render here.

hehehe. i can feel your UURRRRRGRRH. i was actually amazed when i went to 3dwarehouse all my favorite chairs are there. i did not model the chairs yet, just downloading the 3ds models from archibase, but to my surprise all skp are there in the warehouse.
anyway treat the modelling in positive way. indeed i am going back to it.

;D I promise never do that again! ;D
Just kidding here, but you have to admit that modeling it's so time consuming, so I'll prefer to model only what I should, not the chairs and the tables or couches...but this scene I really want finish it "by my hand".

i did the water with realflow, then i took a frame out of it with 3Ds, exported it to .3DS, and finally imported to skp. it is indeed an HDRI illumination and environment, the water is the material i did for a pool. i can share it if u wish
