Re: Kitchen Render
I'll comment but it mightn't be what your looking for.. Tbh I don't like this image, it's not what you've done with the reflections and materials etc that I don't like, it's the composition. Since this is for your portfolio you should really be trying to portray not just your rendering capability but also your architectural expression. The kitchen to me seems very out dated, cramped for space and cheap. Regards the render, I'm guessing there is no natural light/sun coming into the kitchen despite the fact that there exists a window. It seems obvious that there is a photoshoped picture in the widow opening. My advice would be to cut a real hole there and let the natural light in, (while still maintaining the artifical lighting if you want) and then photoshoping the image in at the end (if required). I just have a feeling that there will be a nicer 'brightness' in the room. Sorry for sounding so critical, honestly just want this image to be better

Princedragoncok
i appreciate the honesty. by portfolio i meant just for practice. the kitchen architecturally speaking is very out of line (and out of date hehe) , it's actually my kitchen at home :-\
The image is totally photoshop free, i turned on the omni light and there is a sun light coming through the window witch reflects the interior wall.
Overall i just wanted to take real room a to try make it as close to reality as i can.

Re: Kitchen Render
Good job but I have some comments:
- The bump / displacement for the wall tiles is too much (you should decrease it).
- You should add some bump to the wood textures (this will make the model looks more realistic).
Also, it will be a nice idea to try using other materials in case you want to figure out how your kitchen will look in you want to renovate it.

pacha:
thank you for the comments.
the bump for the wall looks exactly as it is in my kitchen.
you right the bump will improve the texture.
