        bump must work fine, and some reflection map too! use the same bump to filter the reflection.

                Great work freeagent! You have to show us ur post processing tecnique...it really does make alot of difference.. more vibrant colours... and excellent photoshop skills...when ever i render images it comes out bland and colourless...

                ALSO... are u only using sketchup sky? for the lighting? or do you have some other method? i have learnt a new method using no sky and an omni for sunlight instead.. as i hate using pysical camera.. it just loses quality..

                Keep up the good work...

                  Re: New Exterior ::::: Updated

                  i only ever use the physical camera, we are all technically architectural photographers (those of use that use vray for sketchup at an architectural level) with the ability to influence our scene anyway we see fit (as opposed to a real life architectural photographer who can only work with what hes got, we on the other hand change times of day colour scene props) so being photographers we need a camera... with the physical camera we have greater control over the lighting of ur scene, i only stray from the physiical camera when im doing studio shots

                  using sketchup sun/sky we can get accurate sunlight readings also u dont get as nice GI from an omni light

                    Its great to use the physical camera... especially once you figure out how to get the right settings between shutter speed/F-number/iso however i do feel the quality comes out better without pysical camera.. as a raw image without the photoshops... I need to post some examples on this.. however after comparing your pre/post images.. the post work makes up for all the quality!

                    I have found a tutorial on lighting using vray for 3dmax.. and applied it to sketchup with good result... using a bitmap for the GI light... creating nice ambient shadows...and then an omni placed for the sun with strong shadows... for sunlight replication.. the effects are quite nice...as i sometimes feel there needs to be more illumination then just the sunlight.

                        The image is perfect. Clearly they are nitpicking on details only Sherlock Holmes would notice.

                        And as a note: Some members of Vizdepot seem have the tendency to crap on everything that is made using Sketchup, even though the result is beautiful. I call it jealousy.
