This project was inspired by the 1958 Philco TV and the sad, sorry state of current PC design. By the way, I made an 'easter egg' for V-ray geeks like me. Check out the monitor screen on the first image; its a wireframe of the same scene being rendered in V-Ray.

Re: Philco PC : concept PC design
Looks very nice. I really like the retro look. When I did my Final Major I designed modelled and built a mini computer case based on old '50s - '60s automobiles. It's an era of style which I'm very found of.
Do you got more similar projects?
Is this something you plan to produce? Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

If you don't mind me going slightly off topic; how would you approach and where would you go if one has a design one would like to produce? Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

Originally posted by han3dcase design is cool, yet if you ask me screen design not fits to the case
If you were saying you don't like it, that's cool too. I tried to respect the original forms, but interpret them with a new fresh-retro look.

Can I ask, how long took the render???
Design work and modelling ran somewhere around 40 hours. It felt like the keyboard took half of that time, but it was actually around 10 hours for the keyboard & mouse design, modelling, and material design. That's another good tip; the more detail you can model, the better the render will be.

Re: Philco PC : concept PC design
What I meant was the screen would fit more to the case and keyboard if you design it rectangular
Also the part that holds and let screen turn around might be somehow weak because the screen is thick and 2 pipes are thin and seperated
thanks for thanking I need criticism for my works too but because the copyright issues I don't prefer posting industrial designs much on forums
