    Re: first render

    Hey remon,
First of all, It's grate for first render.

    Few comments:
    1. Left tree billboard has a 'halo' effect. (Ps can fix that)
    2. I don't see any shadows in the scene. (Use sky for environment GI)
    3. In real world It's unlikely to see the horizon line flat like that. (Break/cover that line with objects from your choose)
    4. Pavement's texture is very repeatable. (Ps can fix that)

    Best of luck

      1. I'll try to fix the halo
      2. I used GI, I also noticed there ain't any shadows... I don't know why.
      3. I'll add some more billboards
      4. any suggestions how to fix the repeatable pavenment?

What about the glass...... does this look oke?
maybe adding some DOF will do......... is the focal distance in inch or ft? <edit> in mm in my case

I would like to have the windows less reflective..... the look like mirrors now........ I want them more dark and hardly any seetrough also, cuz I haven't modeled the interior. Also I don't like the wall - pavement meeting (sorry for the noobish English), any suggestions?

          Re: first render

How have you set up your windows?

For exterior without any interior I set the diffuse colour to a near black opaque colour and add a Fresnel layer with standard settings.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

              Re: first render

For exterior scene like yours, you can disable the refraction. since you make the glass opaque, the refraction won't be sceen. Also if the glass in your model is single faced (no width) no refraction will be calculated.

looks better now...... thnx for the glassettings.
I think the left upper 2 windows and the round window your looking at backfaced glass or smt.... don't know what's wrong. <edit> it's not the backface and I applied the glass material to 2 sides. Anyone knows what's wrong?

also added the shadow, turn on default lights.

                    Re: first render

I got rid of the halo, also the design is a bit changed, windows look a bit better after adding a vray sun and pshysical camera, tried a different pavement and added a some person (in PS).

Any suggestions to improve it more?

                      Re: first render

                      Looks better.
I would suggest to increase sun's size, so you'll get softer shadows, since the sky is cloudy.
The pavement should be outlined (for example http://www.flickr.com/photos/jenny40...59534/sizes/o/ )

                          Re: first render

Changed the view a bit, made the bricks for the round window, added some leaves under the trees, changed the scale of the guy and I changed some settings instead of exponential -> linear and also soften the shadows

Now it looks much better, but tree quality looks really bad, try find something in 3dwarehouse or just in google
