    Hi
    Like so many, I'm new to V-Ray. Ive just finished going through the manual. This is my first attempt at a proper scene.
    I'm just experimenting with V-Ray sun and textures. Ive come from Podium, so finding V-Ray quiet overwelming.

    I would love you guy to crit this

    Don't be afraid to tear this apart. I want to get good at this. ;D

    Cheers
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan, very good first post! The materials looks correct, I like that, just that bar has some repetitive texture. And maybe if you put the sun from the left side, you will get more light inside from those big windows, because your background looks like a bright day. But that's just a personal opinion.
    Congratulations!

          Very nice!
          Only thing I'd like to point out is the wood's bumpmap. It's too strong. It'd look better if it where more subtle.
          Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

            @stefanq
            Your right that texture on the bar is way to small and tiled. I dont really have any large wood textures. Ive just purchased the Arroway collection. but still waiting for it in the mail. I agree the interior looks a little dull. It does need some light to pour in.

            @Teofas
            You helped me on this image. Im using your visopt. At the moment Im going through your settings to totally understand it. I love your images.

            @Simas
            Cheers for the encouraging words.

            I'll tone that bumpmap down. Thanks for the advise.

                Very good, for a first render!
                I didn't understood if the black rectangular on the wall is intentionally all black?

                  Hi 40th
                  The purpose for the model was to learn V-Ray settings. I got carried away and modeled too much=longer render times. The black rectangle was supposed to be a painting. Just never got around to making a diffuse for it.

                  Cheers for your comments
