I have a problem with light bleeding from the ceiling. My spots and around the top where the light tray is. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

I changed some setting, even remodeled the lights. Still the same result. Can anyone help!

        Re: Light Bleeding

If it's the light leaks around your recessed spotlights that are the problem then check out this thread:

Probably the best tips would be:

1 ) Extend the edges of your spoltlights up so they intersect the ceiling rather than stop on its face.

2 ) Paint the back faces of everything in your spotlights with an RGB 0,0,0 black material (call it "Pure Black" or something). I do this to all geometry as a matter of course to cut down on weird light leaks, artefacts and reflections from back faces. It also means raw SU renders always show nice clean black edges.

        3) Increase your Light Cache subdivs.

Thanks for the help Jackson. I will try those you have suggested and repost, hopefully with final renders.

            Hi Justin,

Good images. For me the diameter of the spot light are very big. You can try to scale them at Diameter 600mm or 800mm.

Hope to see the result, Cheers, Fred

              Re: Light Bleeding

Thanks for the reply Fred. The lights are typical 6" fixtures. I think the IES effect is a bit too strong, though. I am in the process of updating with the suggestions.

P.S. Why does it only say I have 16 posts? I know off hand that I have more than 50.
