        Re: Breakfast render!

hi dave... i'm gonna try to help you improve...
-you're gonna achieve much more realism if you mask the borders of your render in the window area. i see a white stroke surrounding de wooden decoration and the aluminium of the window.
-background seems a little too noisy, it should be bigger, blue tone of sky is weird, and it's also too blurred.
-i think chairs would look better if you use less bump and you re scale the map (i think it should be smaller)
-frames on the wall don't have a reflection layer, and if they have, it isn't enogh.
-wood texture is amazing, (actually, could you please share the map?) but you used too much bump, and bump map is not the most adequate. lines between planks should be much thinner.
-you don't have a cristal on the window. i think you're render would look pretty amazing with some reflections.
-in this particular case... you could try to illuminate sceene with an hdri, this will bring reflections to the glass of the tables, the frames and also to the wood and lamp... the best part is that you can still save as a png and use you're sabe background, but with a lot of realistic reflections!

really hope my comments can be usefull.
have a nice day and keep posting

                    gracias dave...
ahora no estoy en mi pc, pero el lunes en la tarde te subo los links.
realmente son sólo difuse + reflection con un smart sharpen filter en photoshop, pero en lo que pueda ayudarte, con gusto.
