Hi, this is my first attempt in architectural visualization. I've made it for a contest, but then quit. C&C are welcomed!

    Re: architectural visualization

Pretty nice render. The floating curtain is cool, but somehow does not match the rest of the setting. Indeed, I have the feeling that everything is still suggested by the leaves that don't seem to be moving, therefore it's not a windy day (IMO). Also, that weeping hollow tree could be moved a little bit to the right to show more of the house as it is the main focus.

    Have a great day!

Haha...right, it could be a fan. LOL

Don't know why, but somehow i was thinking that the curtain was floating due to the wind going though open windows/doors.

        Cheers,

Quite good! I would try to avoid the dark mood and the background horicon line must be corrected. The line is much to high that cause the impression the house is tipping. The plant colors could be fine adjusted - the willow more saturated and the other bushes less.

            Re: architectural visualization

Hi, I know it is not perfect, but next time will be better. In fact, this is my first exterior. The contest was the occasion to try something new for me. Could be more, but I had problems with VFR. IM + LC method does not work for me. Occurring error : Exception rendering region during a render phase, at high resolution. I tried everything, new textures, new mapping, new model, but without success. This picture is actually a test done "quickly" only 6hours by LC+DMC method :-\

hi man. model is of course great hehe
i think you should have tried a cleaner render, i mean, without so much dirt on the wall and column. now, i know this was a test, but i believe it would be even better without sooo much difuse glow jeje
did it take 6 hours of rendering?

                Re: architectural visualization

There's no any glow in scene! You wrong. In fact the only post-treatment is level, curve and color correction, nothing else!
About "dirt" - it gives personality to my project and I don"t think that for bad.

Great composition and texturing - good job, Alexander!

Streaks and grime add to a realistic look, I really like seeing this in a computer rendering.
Only the way of implementing it to a scene should be well considered. Every material is affected by its environment. Outdoor materials weather depending on how much they are exposed.

                  And here's my point:
If you have worn elements, everything needs this touch. In your case, the wooden patio and wall planking would have suffered more, would have minor dents or cracks or would sag or skew a little.

These are really small details that don't actually stick out but really blur the borders between computed and real life imaging.

                      Re: architectural visualization

To much dirty on the walls, and the curtain looks like a ghost floating in the air!. Your pool its great the floor planks will be better if they dont match the walls wood planks. for the rest great!

that's the gh house challenge organized by ronen bekerman.

nice dirt in the white stucco. and the pool looks good.

your image seem to have this glow. could you tell us about the post process?

Hi, i'm glad you like it. This is a link to my portfolio in Behance. There I published two versions of the renderer - raw and processed. Indeed, treatment includes curve, level and color corections. There's no glow or any else.
