uuuuuhm..... so mean i read the specs of your machine at cgtalk - ok, keep it, but lock it - Germany is just a stone's throw away isn't it?

this seems to turn out to a real test series...

hey, you just got up didn't you? for me it's 3 o'clock at night, so my bed is the only "object" that pays my attention

nice!! - lot's of HD space on that sucker.....
and Corsair RAM....I heard that's pretty expensive..is it worth it, say in compare to Samsung RAM or others......
did you over clock that cpu??

            thanks for the specs....

heheh I loves me harddrive space, plenty of room to be lazy with file sorting

Corsair is one of the best ram manufactorers around. Really high quality and great overclocking potential. I dont know that much about samsung ram, but it would not compare to Corsair. Corsair is worth every cent IMHO.

Yeah its overclocked by about 10% , i forgot to mention that i also have a 550w Enermax Powersupply, gotta have lots of power. A quality powersupply is essential in building a good machine. Cause if the powersupply dies it can take the rest of the machine with it.

HAHAH awesome, we also have the same Promise IDE card as well
                  SNAP!!!

I really need to make the inside of my case neater. I tried my best but the cables dont want to behave for me!!

Any suggestions? i have tried to twist tie everything but still it looks like messy. I have 2 rounded cables i will need to get 1 more for the new 200gb and also a rounded scsi cable (if they make those).

Maybe i could post some pics and you could throw some suggestions my way??

p.s. File management is such a pain once you get mega HDD space.

p.s.s LMAO @ the complaint forms...hahahah nice and small.

You know- comp settings are the one big depressing things about this forum. I was always proud of my system- thinking I had the biggest and baddest computer on the block. It was the one thing I was really proud of. Then I come on this site and realize how puny I am. The 3D community I'd imagine has the latest and greatest compared to even most extreme gamers. It's amazing to see what people do to stretch their limits.

So true, nothing like coming in think your box is king shiznat, and then being put in your place by someone with a machine with twice as much power and 4 of them.

                      amazing....and also kinda sad

NICE SETUP dave!!! especially the tripple monitor -

one thing - why didn't you go w/ a dual mp cpu setup instead of the xp 2700+???......i mean 2 procs is better then one...even if you have slaves...

I aint complaining lol - was more of a joke. I pretty much have the same main system as these guys do, minus the dvd burner and hd space.

                            Soyo Dragon Ultra Black Edition
                            Athlon 2700 333mhz
512 DDR400 Corsair (though I think it samples down to pc3200)
3x80 gig Striped 1 and single 7200 RPM Drives
                            Gforce TI4600

It rocks compared to my 2100- could probably use more memory (though I only have 3 slots ) and a bigger monitor. The 2700 is probably the highest amd you can go without bankrupting yourself at this point.

i am young, i can wait no need to have the fastest comp for me

now that we're bruising... i got 2 slaves, my second big pc (my main one is a laptop...) and the pc of my girlfriend when she sleeps *lol*

both only 800/900 mhz, but still enough to please me.

but have a closer look yourself:

zeromancer- you using the 4 comps for distributed rendering? That should knock down your render times alot.
