  • first test render

    Hi

This is my first Vray render. I did it to learn about the application and the settings. May I take this opportunity to thank everybody on the forum, as their input has helped to so much to come to grips with this application.
Now as far as the result I am quite pleased with it however, there is a lot of noise in the rug adjacent to the books. I have used Displacement map to give the rug a little body, and the Ambient Occlusion is on. Any comments would be appreciated, and could anybody suggest anyway to reduce the noise in the rug.

    Thanks
    Reza

    Re: first test render

indeed, theres a little bit of noise there.
    did you use any postproduction?
i think that you need a better illumination. i know in real life, pictures are not always so perfectly illuminated, but in renders, having clear scenes, actually seem to help.
    it's nice for a test.
    keep posting :P

      Re: first test render

I played around with it a little more. Indeed, I had set the Ambient Occlusion too high, I had set the value to 2, and this case I reduced it to 0.8 which is the default. Also as suggested by Arqestevez I reset the lighting and did a little post production on the image.
      Thanks

Nice render, Illumination brings drama to your scene, maybe you should improve some materials like wood and the office chair.

I think you are right the scale of the wood is not right.
