Re: Chalet
nice work bro! feedback: the background is blur mostly the left side of the image the bamboo leafs are too bright, grass looks a little flat, reflections on windows looks like mirror too reflective, stone and wood textures are great really good materials! keep posting bro.

Re: Chalet
fantastic work, i think your grass is nice, maybe you don't want it to look like grass is growing and hasn't been cut, but if you want it to look taller then teo's advice about it being flat is correct, i think your asphalt looks too repetitive, windows are really too reflective as if you have the same curtain as your outside behind the glass, idk if you had to rush this but i see the cut outlines around the trees ans building edges, i always hated that in my renders, as if i added alot of sharpness or is that what you did? for that sunny day i think the image could have been brighter imho. i love this though, alot of work went into this render, how long did you take to make it what what version did you use?

Re: Chalet
I agree I think you can do Grass in PS and place the grass as afterwork and get a better render.
Good work. The best that I can do is keep learning, and the Renderings are just a small step to get real.

Re: Chalet
Thanks for the comments Teo, i will take notes and try to correct those things. I'm glad that you like the stone and wood textures. About the leafs you're totally right, the reflection is too high.
Thanks for the words Omar, i had improved my work but because of you guys, with all the tips you give and looking for you're great work (and i mean it).
About the stone wall i only used bump.
Hi shawn, thanks for leaving me a comment, The grass that i used was one of micha's techniques, it doesn't have any displacement, only bump and i think is too low so thats why it looks flat. About the asphalt well i used the one from sketchup materials (shame on me) hahaha, i was kinda lazy on that momment and i didn't want to check for a better texture but believe me i will. The windows definitely have too much reflection and the cut outlines are there i don't know why, what can i do to avoid this effect, i always save my images from the vray buffer as a png format and i work with that in photoshop but i truly don't know how to correct that.
About how long did i take to make it i think like 8 hours only modeling and probably 1-2 hours looking and appling textures and post work with photoshop was like 1 hour. The render time was 25-30 minutes and i used the last version of v-ray.

Re: Chalet
Hi Kelper, actually i'm not any good in photoshop and i would have to study how to replace the grass from the render into another one much better in photoshop, if you know any tutorial how to do that it will be very appreciated.Microsoft Windows 7 64 Bits
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33 GHz
Nvidia 9800 GT
8 Gb DDR 2

rendersarquitectonicos.blogspot.com

Re: Chalet
Hi Sookie, actually that is one problem that i'm trying to solve but i don't have any idea yet. About the grass i'm still looking for a nice texture but without using displacement because it tooks too much time to render.
