Hi folks, I have done a couple of similar project in this past month, here is the last.
I will make other images may be but for the moment that's all, btw to pick a subject in an other thread here, the clients were hard for the choices and changed all the layout tree time (specially the ground/road argggg!!!!!) anytime you try to check and to start when all the project is finish but they aren't ok in their head about that. The problem is when you work too many time on the same project and when you done many changes (critical changes) you loose the good vibes of the start eheheh, so you want it to be finish as soon as possible.
    But that's our work too.
    Feel free to comment.
for the little story my memory was in dynamic and it took 47000 Mo for the global view (bucket size 64). Of course the limit was set to zero.
    regards

thanks, I think I was @ the limit (may be not because vray manage this very well) I have used multiscatter with proxies, and some others proxies placed by hand here and there. I think there are 10 different trees, some bushes and grass. there is low poly and high poly trees/bushes. I'm not happy with all pines on the market, btw if someone have good one to sell I'm your guy.

        Looks good Laurent!

I have used the 3DMentor trees recently in a project and he has some pretty good pines:

The second set of trees has some much better meshes for medium and close range stuff - a lot of set1 is more for distant stuff only IMO, but you would have to judge for yourself.

          thanks for the input Brett,
I have already buy this library but I have only used the cypress which are really well done than others. their model need a serious tweek for the mtl and they are huge but good. I need to re analyse the entire library when I'll have time eheheh. I'll make a test soon I think. cheers

Yeah, the materials need some work for detail work, but for me in this case it was okay. They are high poly though, so I made Vrayproxies of the ones I used and it was much easier on Max I read on the mentor site that he is doing updated versions of these models with updated materials, so hopefully those will be available soon and will save some time on rebuilding materials.

this is a very good news, I'm always searching some new good Mediterranean trees cause I have always these kind of species to put on my renders.

Priad, if you had used Forest Pro to place your trees, you could have colored (tinted) them randomly so they would not have appeared so repeated.
