lookin good to me Bobby
id say the speculars on the wood are a bit over egged. soften them off and lower the level maybe.
also, ( and probably not a lot you can do about this) the palette is all brown and beige and midtoney.. not ideal for a strong image.
finally, id also say the skylight is also a bit overblow, unless him upstairs is coming for a personal visit

just realised i was looking at it on my second monitor (not the best!) and on my main monitor its a bit washed out (but then even my main monitor isnt great) it actually looked better on my second monitor, which is a bit darker and more contrasty.. so maybe id prefer it with a bit more contrast and "punch"
really though its not a bad image at all, and i appreciate what youre doing with the skylight etc.. its hard to find something to grab onto on in some scenes!

Agreed the image looks great on its own.
In regards to personal constructive thoughts.....I feel the scene is "texture heavy". Such as the wood bump on the columns as well as the wood wall in the back left. They just seem a little on the strong side.
Also the motion blur on the ceiling fan looks nice but also seems a bit out of place. I know you want to have life and movement in your scene but its up at the top and really the only thing "moving" in the scene so it feels off a bit I guess.
All that being said though, again, a great image!

good work Bobby...my comments are about the same as h3d, but I will add the fan seems tiny for that large of an area...
Looks good, and the client will probably love it. I have had similar ones (sorta' bland and similar colors/hues) that I never really liked, although the client was thrilled.

Hi Bobby,
nice job!
i took the image and played with it in PS a little to give it more depth..
i think that even more depth could be achieved by playing with overall lighting.
when you get such glow from the skylight, the your lighting units and cangles should not glow that much IMHO.
Otherwise i have to say your stuff is gettign better and better

I think I'm applying to many filters in post. The raw render is really sharp, but once I start building filters i n PS, it gets really grainy.Bobby Parker

well, it looks neat, but the walls look like they are falling over/away from the viewer...fan matches better but still looks too small...I think the effects are too strong IMO and are distracting. For example, if you had not said it was a skylight, I would not be able to tell what that glowing rectangle in the ceiling is...the wood is looking a bit better, but maybe not reflective enough? Anyway, it still looks good, but those would be my crits if you want them (Don't mind all my crits, I'd be a terrible client, lol.)

I think its heading in a good direction overall, but the last one feels heavy to me. Here's my take on it, with an eye to adding some depth to the shot. I'd dial back the glowiness a bit, and reduce the grain if possible too. I don't mind the grain that much, but I'd personally prefer to add it at the end and control the amount that way.
p.s. I can shoot you the psd if you want to look it over.
