beautiful, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you. I was a little disappointed with the sound track. I was watching, had a really peaceful feeling, so I put on the headphone hoping to hear birds and crickets.
Can you share a little about the project? It seems to be a small house for such a large illustration budget. Will there be a lot of them? Just wondering.Bobby Parker

Wow, Just beautiful, nice job again! We can see a clear difference between europe and north america, as you could'nt put in as much vegetation around curbs and stone wall like you did, it would not look clean for a north american mentality, but it had so much to the atmoshpere of the scene, really nice!

AJ Jefferies: here is ok. Maybe too much post? I don't know =)
glorybound: it's a nice villa for a private client. Only one. The budget is not very high, but we are artist Sometimes money it's not all. And we must watch further... with one nice job, you could have more and more
Kr0no: as you acan see in these next images, the original place it's not clean. Now, in the same place, there is an old villa, with very big trees, brushes etc... The architects, send me the right position for every new trees,
with the exact variety. He ask me to make a "non clean garden", like a "little forest", with rocks, etc...
stevesideas: ok, in our next project, I will have more attention on the signage texture
sandykoufax : here the preview for the road
HERE more WIP

Its quite nice cecofuli. What bothered me about the animation is that nothing moved. I know its not really important and probably adds a whole other level of complexity to your work, but in nature every tree every leave usually has some minor life. Would add quite a bit I think to the realism.Dmitry Vinnik

Yes Morbid! You are right! But the animation was not in the contract, at the start. Only at we end client ask me this. So, it's was too late (and not in the budget) rebuilt the scene for to add more complex stuff. I will suggest in our next project. =)

ciao Francesco.
great images here!!!
Differently from previous posts, I personally like very much the "forest" look ...maybe a bit wild but I prefer like this, well done!!!
Would you be so kind to elaborate a bit your approach with grass and foliage? which trees modeler, scatter plugin etc. ?
About the signage texture I've 2 stupid notes:
- even without your post with the real landscape I noticed something strange with the blue signage with the arrow; too me it's the size of the arrow compared to its backgound, it's too big and the photo reveals it.
- again, the blu signage has an unlucky location compared with the POV you selected for the second image, it's almost in the center and so it turns to be very distracting
I could have some more notes but they are probably more architectural issues, so maybe they could be offtopic.
Have I already said they are great?Alessandro

Good eyes! At the end iI saw this ! Damn... The arrows are really x2 big! My error >.< We work a lot for to create a perfect textures, perfect lighting but we forgot to scale a simple obj!!!
About my approach we have a big library with "ready to use" with proxy models. I don't remember this trees if they are Imodels, Onyx, Evermotion etc...
We prepare the trees models in a separate files and convert in proxy. Every tree/grass/flowers in a correct Layer. We do a lot of test for every tree etc...
We use only multiscatter. And, again, we do a lot of test in a separate file for the grass. Here two different type of grass
The lighting is do by VRaySun and VRaySky, No HDRI etc... I use this combo because, for me, it a little bit fast.
The project is do by an external architect. So, I cannot say if it's good, nice, bad, ugly. I do only the visualization, without to ask =)Last edited by cecofuli; 26-05-2012, 12:25 PM.

really nice Francesco, congrats.
I am amazed that you seem to put so much effort info detailizing something that most people hate doing - roads and pavements and this really make a differecnce...not to mention the filoage which seems great too!
I am surprised you have use multiscatter though...i had to abandon this package because it seemed to be just too slow especially in render when used with LC.
BTW: Imodels.....what is that? could not find it anywhere...
Great stuff!Martin
