  • Wine on decorative napkins

I started this as a test to find out how to better use VRay. It ended up taking a few days to get this right....most of it with the wine...the wine went from being mud, to cool-aid and I think I finally got it.

Funny thing is that the napkins seem to get the most credit....

    Thanks for viewing.

    wow, great napkins!

haha, j/k. The napkins are great though. Everything looks superb, glasses, wine, table card... The only thing that gets me is the "neck" connecting the stem to the base of the glass. The refractions seem very out of place, but who knows, maybe that's how a glass really would look in that situation. :P

    Excellent work.

Yeh looks good, the caustics look phat.
The corner of the napkin were it flicks up draws attention to it, so I would lower this.
The texture of the napkin needs to follow through into the coloured/pattern sections.

      Keep up the testing

Thanks for the comments. Actually the napkins are not your everyday napkins...they are decorated by having stuff knit into them..hence the borders and lace. It is not the same texture as it is different material...if it were a pattern, I totally understand that.

The glass I used a high refraction only because I liked the way the refraction came out better....mby a bad choice. The glass is a bit thick, but it was a pain to change it, so I left it. Again, this actually started as a test...weird.

          Thanks again for commenting.

Saw your post of this on 'Rosity. I see you darkened the color of the wine here, and it looks a lot better. Anyway, you know my comments about this from over there. Good job.
