Yeah, I had a tight deadline, so the settings were not that high.
Natty: I think it's a floormap I made myself... Can't remember though, it's been a while.
Regarding settings, I think it a sun with multiplier of 7 and a skylight on 5. Exponential colormapping around 3/0.9. Otherwise nothing special, as I remember it.
I don't like them as much as your exteriors. It looks like they are sharped up in postprocessing, because I see some sort of black and white halo's around your objects. This makes it look like they're pasted into the image. Overall lighting seems to be good though...

Whaooo!!!
great rendering, cool lighting.
Just need a more fine IRmap.
your leather material , on the first one is simply "realistic".
can you show us your light setup, placement, size, color..etc..
thanx
They are very post processed! Actually I tried to give them a slight sketchy look in PS. Note the little line around objects.... It looks real good in print.
I'll see if I can post some more about the setup and material. I have a deadline real soon, so it might be e few days =
is this 7 the multiplier of sun (direct light) and 5 skylight or 0.7 and 0.5 for sky?
they seem high values
congratulations again for the last image and I agree on the floor it looks too much cheap for this interior maybe a dark essence of wood could give better and important results!!
pengo- if you use high values for lights, and then set exponential color mapping to values around 1-3, the lighting is balanced again. Result is the same as using low multipliers for lights and then use high multiplier for dark value in exp color mapping to lighten up the interior.
I also think it's very clear that there's post processing, but apart from those black lines I like it! Almost every render is better in post than straight out of max imo.
