i think the first one is actually better than the sec. one..........even tho it takes less time (which is a good thing ).....i am not gonna explain in full detail why i think its better cuz i am runnin out of time....generally the first one is more realistic....

      To theMaxxer

I just loose time in rendering under max6 because there is no
distribution rendering implemented yet in Vray.
So on large images it's too much long to compute...
DR works on max5 so, I have no choice, I must stay on max5.

I work a lot in architecture and max6 is better for me to achieve
some projects.Nevertheless I can do the same in max5 but it's a bit
      longer to prepare.

      Bye

        Hello Vlado
I am user of VRAY and I am very glad to see some new GI improvement of VRAY(I am suprised because of it's velocity).
However several months ago I posted with some other users of the forum, that we need to be able to output layers more easily(a gi output like FR, or an ambient occlusion pass, a reflection pass , a z-buffer pass,...)
        http://www.chaoticdimension.com/foru...pic.php?t=2409

but I did not see any update. I am sorry but the vray G-buffer slot didn't help me a lot

Then I would like to know if you intend to take into account our needs or if you set up the heading "wishlist" on your forum just to decorate

        thank you to answer me

        ps:sorry for my english

Yep, working on that too. It doesn't look very impressive to post though... Also, as far as I remember, faster and better GI is also in the wishlist.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

            hi vlado

you are saying you're working on a 'render elements'-feature?
            cool, that's great!

Oh, if you would integrate all layers in a clever sort of layer manager in the new vray frame buffer it would be quite cool imo and definately worth showing. At least I would jump in circles about this new feature packed under a slick UI. BUT, it's also very good that you returned to the roots and work on GI again. I'm curious what kind of clever algorithms make it possible to speed up GI even further. Let's make "Very High" to our new Std GI Setting ...

yes thanks for the good news.
I know that's it doesn't look impressive but I am just waiting to download a new build with this new feature

Could you send us some infos about a new release date ??

Mik. May I suggest you have a little less "demanding" tone. Just because it is on the wish list doesn't mean it will be with you tomorrow.

                  /Andreas
