    Matt,

I did some calling around to local aircraft refurbishment companies and they confirmed what I thought

That's really interesting information though. If you think about it you're considering car paint that probably exists on less than 10% of all cars and jet paint that's in development or on the cutting edge. Sorry to be so blunt but what does it have to do with this standard commercial jet that a320 is working on. I still don't see how you can say it's "totally different". You get props for the cool article though

The point I was making was that the paint on an aircraft looks different to that of a car. A320 is trying to recreate the paint on his A330 as realistic as possible.

You mentioned to look on the forum for car paint materials, the thing is, the majority of car paint materials I have come across try to recreate the metalic flecks found in newer car paints. When I look at an aircraft I see a flat white reflective paint.

Anywho, that was the point I was making.

Good work A320. I'd like to see a revised image with the exposure of the hdri image turned down. Maybe now work on the tarmac surface to increase realism. Add some people or something on the background that gives the plane scale or maybe some bump, lines and skids. Go crazy mate.

I know the two aeroplanes are totally different but personlly I like A320 representation of the aircraft paint much better than J_bug,s. No offence J_Bug but I think yours looks flat and there is something strainge happening with the nose. Again, dont take this criticism too hard J_Bug.

Lets not get stuck on weather or not the paint is similar to car paint. Just be concerned with it looking as good as possible. I work with some people that insist on materials being physically correct, but there images suffer from the restrictions that they place on themselves.

        Lets keep it constructive boys/girls.

I thought it was very constructive up until you posted this but thanks for the critique.
