michael, the colours on the walls are generally caused by raytraced materials, go through your scene and convert all your materials to vray materials.

As for the floor change the uvw map to something a little smaller, the main problem with the floor seems to be with the perspective of the camera, do you have a camera correction on it?

      Thanks chris..

All my materials are vray.. or have been converted. I use the max vray convert function and I even created a new vray material using max for the wall behind the book case. I am using a free camera and the camera correction map is grayed out.
      thanks

I did see that I did not have force 2 sided checked and I checked that and I am running a new render.. it looks better.. but I can tell there still will be color on the walls

          Vraymats are always 2 sided.

Your render is one with show samples turned on.

Give everything a white vraymaterial and render again to see if the splotches are still there.

            thanks.. all better now

Strange thing was the show samples was on for the first image also, I wonder why it did not create the black dots... I found out my problem was that I had merged a scene and I had two walls in the same place.
            Thanks for your help.
