    HOLY SHIFT! bahah.

Well, the problem is fixed if I don't check "use object mtl" and don't use the displacement slot in the material. I had no map in the VRayDisplacement Texmap param, yet when I use the object mtl of a multi-subobject material, I get those results.

Took off displacement from the material, threw the bitmap into the Texmap slot in VrayDisplace, Amt:2, Shift -2, and it works just fine. How completely frustrating#@*&^$$ Why would the "use object mtl" thingy behave like that?!

Flip, the next time you come over to America and swing by Wisconsin... drinks are on me. :P

Rerender: I had displacement unchecked under Options in the render box... is that the only spot?

Yep, that's the spot. Glad you got it to work

        hahaha
Ok, now how do I get it to only show on one side without multi-subobject? I thought planar UVW only did one side...
