    Hey all, here's a simple fire experiment with pflow:


    7.2M cells, Sim time 40mins, Render time 42hrs. Grid-based self-illumination, Reduced Grid light placing, 1% grid reduction. Custom transparency curve and Light Cut-Off=0 slowed the rendering down a lot, but produce much more detail. Also, got heat-haze

      looks very cool! thank you for sharing!
      very believable except for that the inital hit of the fire on the floor. it looks a little gooy...like burning glue that hits the floor. Maybe some spreading of the fire along with darker texture or small smoke production would make it even better!

        Hey, thanks for the tips! I'll try and see what happens, because the particles really don't behave well - the moment when the emitter stops and the final particles fly off is really crappy as well

          Right didn't even notice... Maybe a mixture of an object emitting actual burning liquid and the particles would help.
