  • WIP : Swimming Pool

    hi all !

I've done this during my freetime , it's not finish yet as you can see, lots of stuff to achieve but it begins to get shape

Ths to Erik de Graaf for the pool water material, it helps me a lot

PS: i know that the beach umbrellas roofs seems weird but it's not a flaw in the meshes (it's due to the displacement map in fact), i'll work on it and on the texture as well, i wanted to use SHAG:HAIR for it but it seems it's not compatible with VRAY !! ( the top and bottom of the roof are using a simple alpha map to get that "grass result", pretty neat to reach what i wanted

    ALL C&C are welcome

cool work so far. is this on a tropical island?

i would have the shrubs coming out of some earth/pots instead of sitting on the tiles. also i think the pool needs an edge around it for the tiles to meet up against, so that the tiles don't just stop.
the woman in the middle on a chair looks a little out of place when there are all those deck chairs behind her.

yeah i know that too, but for now it was for testing how it rendered once all elements are mixed together...but
        i'm aware of this problem.

For the tiles i'm not sure to understand what you mean

once again it's still WIP, not finished at all

          sykes,

try turning down the fog multilpier a little, the water gets a little to blue over disctance.

          Coming along nicely.

for the tiles i'm suggesting the pool has its own tile border that follows the shape of the pool, 1 tile width all the way around. the other tiles meet up to this. without this you will end up with small pieces of tiles here and there around the pool edge that may fall off over time.

can't wait to see the next update!
