Exacty what does the "default lighting" check/uncheck do on the VRAY GLOBAL SWITCHES ?
I saw one of the Natty tutorials, he unchecks that field (and so on this thread) i dont remember noticing a change on the render when i unchecked that.
Max will automatically render using a default light if no other lights are present in the scene. Even if you have the environment on in the vray settings, max will still render the default light. I'm assuming by unchecking this box it will stop Max from rendering this light. One other way to stop max from rendering default lighting without adding any light to the scene is to add an omni light and set it to 'off'
