Well you can see from my new avatar, that I retired my long lasting beaker. Its a small project im working on at the moment. Still have more work to do but heres a current WIP. You may even recognize it from a certain subway in a certain movie, but made alot dirtier.

is it the subway in that classic 1990 film Ghost with Patrick Swayze?

I had the time of my life...oh sorry that's the other Patrick Swayze classic Dirty Dancing

Nice moody atmosphere you've created Percy. All you need to do now is add a drunken bum and you'll be set. Do RPC have a drunk in their library?

I like the blurring in your avatar. It is pretty dark, the tracks magicaly appeared after the sun went down here.

I like it percy. Very nice!

I do agree w/ rerender about the tracks area darkness......I think it could be just a liitle lighter...didn't even notice them the first time I looked at it.

                just courious.....what's it for??

Heres an update after some more texture work:

This project originally started with an attempt to recreate the subway to "nowhere" in matrix:revolutions seen here:

I got close enough to it to be satisfied, but after looking at it awhile I decided it was waaay too boring like jedisalf pointed out. So I had this idea to dirty it up and make it more ominous and "dangerous" looking. The reason is I had an idea to put this lil girl (cute pony tail type) standing on the edge carrying a doll and all that, looking kinda scared/vulnerable and in the dark foreground having several evil creatures climbing out of a hole in the ground and making their way towards the girl. The reason the tracks area is dark is to contribute to the mood Im going for.

Anyways, Im horrible at organic modelling so who knows if Ill ever get that far.

EDIT: I think the 2 signs gotta go unless I can make them fit better into the scene, what do ya think...

i like the idea you have in mind...w/ the little girl and all.....

as for the signs.....I don't mind them but they do stand out a little bit too much...I think maybe showing some cracks in them...maybe one of them could be hanging down only by one side (dangling down I mean) .....and have some rust on them would definatly incorporate them better...right now they have a similar intensity as the lights illuminating the space...feel like they were just put up there, brand new..

pretty cool.....I'm ecxided to see the progress..

PS: also if it were me, I would close in the shot a little more...right no there is a lot of space in the lower part of the image that could just be croped out to bring the bay area more up front...but then I don't know where exactly you'll place the characters so I could be wrong...
