I don't know if it's just an ugly design or I am doing a poor job illustrating it.

I would crop away some of the ground and give it a bit more sky. Also some warmth in the sunlight could help.

Are the trees requested by the client? If not maybe change them too... other than that I think the image is alright. The design on the other hand is by far the worst ive seen in a long time!! Looks like a movie-set with those fake facades.

I don't think the blurred background is helping at all, and I agree with the tree comment; they look really weird.

I agree. The hooker and camera man have to go. I try to invest invest in something each job. This job got new boulders from Parkviz. Maybe the next project I'll get a few more people.

i've seen the boulders....you got it difficult with this one.... the design is terrible.

I would put more people walking on street instead of the runner, she doesn't look realistic. .... how about darker asphalt ?

It's getting better, but IMO

-All of the cars and people are not helping at all in this view. The people upstairs are quite distracting like cut off very dark heads, just weird.
-Grass on right needs material work (try using area in edge mode instead?)
-curb behind that grass is razor sharp
-road look like a lo-res Google map
-loose all of the strange trees, they look so odd
-detectable surfaces and sidewalk materials need improvement
-Is the view locked in by client? If not, consider stepping back a bit.

Sorry for all the things, it looks like a challenging design to work with Keep up the good fight!

He insisted on the trees. I tried swapping them, but he wanted them back. I had the camera back a bit, but someone else on the forum suggested I bring it in; I am indifferent and slightly prefer this one. He wanted the people on the roof, but I agree, they look odd.

well, in the end, the client's the one paying...so it's on him, lol.
I feel ya, I just had a client demand the "raise the camera about 30-50 feet up." Guess they really wanted to showcase the lovely EPDM.

I absolutely hate that request! it's a very technical, almost CAD jockey, mistake.

here's my quick 'shop from a previous iteration - added more sky. and made the rendering softer. I liked the results you were getting with ArionFX from another post.
