Very nice. Fit's really nicely into the scene. Lighting and perspective have been matched pretty well.

thanks for the comments. for the side elevation i used a little diffuse glow in photoshop to help tie the background to the house...seemed to work well.

                Hello Nick,

The compositing for these is fairly simple. To start off, I have the rendered image open along with the original photo in Photoshop.(swap back and forth = cntrl tab) On the original image I simply cut out the items that are in front of the rendered structure with the polygon selection tool. You don't have to have a detailed selection (leaf by leaf) just mainly concentrate selection detail on the
trunks and branches and have vague selections with the leafy areas. Paste
the selection into the rendered image and paint on leaves as necessary.
(photoshop has a nice brush that paints on leaves well) I did this with
front view too. Also I made the house its own layer... just make sure its
under the foreground layers. Also with the house on its own layer you have great control over the levels. Each view takes about 35 mins of photoshop.

                Hope this helps.

Great work So how much of the house is CG? That stucco looks nice and random. I just noticed that some of your light fixtures are rendering black though.

                    Hey John,

The entire house is CG. If you look closely at the stucco you can see where it tiles...may be too dark though on your monitor. I can post a wire when I get home.

                    cheers
