  • Help with indoorscene

    Hi.
I have done the same like the tutorial(room1.exe) from natty.
I have usw two VRLights and the VRay settings from the tutorial. But i miss the sunlight and i think its a little bit to dark.
How i make a realistic light for this scene?

        hi
you could just add a direct light as sun and increase the first diffuse bounce, that should do it ... and once you start adding your materials the room will start to light up anyway.

go for a yellow, orange direct light around 2 - 4 multiplier.

increase your Primary Bounces for the IRR map just so the light goes a bit further into your scene.

well if you think it doesnt look right you need to change it... look at the light coming through a window and say to yourself what colour is it. im afraid you cant just ask how to set up a perfect scene you have to play and learn. put more white in the light and just experiment, thats the only way you are going to learn.

maybe put a white material on the walls ... grey is not good for bouncing light.

also you have shadows off on your sun ??

2nd try to up the first and secondary bounces multipliers
3rd sun light is too yellow... turn a bit to red an white

                    Hope I help you

I have done the three things. What do you think now?

I have a problem with the aquarium. I have put a VRayLight into it, but the light is only in the aquarium. It don`t shine out of the glas. The light haven`t got any effect on the room. So whats wrong there?
I asked two friends, but they aren`t used to work with 3D. They find, that the picture 13 is realistic, because its darker and they like the shadows.

I think it can be fixed using Standart material with a VRayMaps in a reflection and Refraction slots instead of VrayMat...

sounds like you have to make sure you have Affect shadows ticked in the vray material roll-out, then the light will go through the glass

Yea, the light goes out now. Thx.
But what is wrong with the glas? I have done a quick render and there are many black points on the glas ^^.
