    Here, is one I am working on. It's from a SU model, which I took flini2004's offer to look at it before I dug in. I literally spent a few hours, from what flini2004 sent me, and here I am. The time was spent moving materials to layers and I put in the site. I am not sure how long flini2004 spent, but whatever he did helped greatly.

    So, if done right, I can see how the workflow would work well. Thanks, flini2004!

    You are welcome, the model was the typical model to be used in SU so it had co planar faces, different material assigned to the back faces, flipped normals, etc....I spent about 30-45 min to fixed those issues.

        Could you talk about how you fixed those issues? I use a lot of sketchup models and would love to hear some recommendations as to how to clean it up

          , 1st thing is looking for back faces, select the display and flip them... there are some free extensions to do that. 2nd to me deleting all the materials applied to the back faces, they should have the same material as the front face or none. there is also a free tool to deleted or change that.... I used to have it. 3rd co planar faces, purging extra information and close holes. I personally model everything with thickness but designers in general when they use SU by itself don't pay attention to this. i use the model in SU from schematic design to construction documents and visualization so I model with more detailed models so my workflow push me to be very careful during the modeling stage. like any other software the problems come from the users not from the software. SU has a lot free tools/scripts to fix most of the problems and speed up modeling so it just matter of search online.

              I finally got feedback from the owner. Really, two weeks of nothing and then I get a call Thursday afternoon saying they need it the next morning. Are these people for real?

                @flino2004 That sounds like "UV Toolkit" by Thomthom - there's an option to copy all front-face materials to backfaces. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18992 (good to check step #1 first before using )

                @bobby Hope you pushed back!

                  I told her that generally I need feedback within 2 days, otherwise the deadline could be jeopardized and I might have to reschedule. However, I told her I would do what I can, and I did. I was able to move another deadline.

                            For me it's still got the same burn on the white car and the white brick at the top left corner of the building, it's almost clipped - might be nice to do some kind of filmic rolloff in post if you've got it all 32 bit?

                              I can't keep it 32 bit, because some things in post wont work. Plus, I can't save as a jpeg unless I go to 16 bit.
