            And how much better does the grass look, and how much easier is it to do, and how much faster are the renders!?

            The rear view looks really good now. Well done. The foliage all sits together very well. People tend to go with very luminous green trees and you've correctly got them quite desaturated.


            One more tip: If you use the raw total lighting pass for shadows, you'll usually get straight lines for your shadows. What you can do to make it look less cg is to sample the colours from the rawtotallighting pass and paint over the edges using a grassy sort of brush with the lighter or darker colour to make it look more realistic. I think for these it's mostly not needed but as an example you can see the sharp shadow lines being cast from the playset.
