    Hi, all!
These are some images I've done for my new course on arch viz here in Brazil. The goal here is so that the students will create this scene and another exterior one from scratch, modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and post-processing everything. Except for the armchair, log, ceiling fan and table clock, everything will be created during the classes. (3ds max 2016 and V-Ray 3.20.03)
Any crits and comments are more than welcome!
    Cheers!

Nice work. Little extreme in the lens distortion, for my taste, but it does work.

      Overall looks nice
      However,
      1) The chair in the corner looks too big. Compare the seat height with the door handle height. Something looks off there.
      2) The white blanket needs an edge, otherwise looks like just a cut fabric without any seams on the sides
      3) I agree with Bobby, lens distortion is a bit much
      4) The downlights have no holes cut in the ceiling? Or the glass is the same colour as the ceiling? Something is off there
      5) The night shot looks good, just a little "misty"
      6) 3.3 Is now released. Hopefully your students will work on that and not on 3.2

These 6 points is being very picky. The renders itself is actually very good. Well done
      Kind Regards,
      Morne

        Hi, guys!
Thanks for the feedback. All very valid points (some actually bugged me but I couldn't put my finger on what it was, like the corner armchair).
I'm changing a the image as I write this, getting rid of the downlights (they were supposed to be a white glass, but it was indeed kind of misleading), changed the chair (although the size was correct, the model was too chunky and heavy looking).
Also made the lens distortion more discreet (I sometimes overdo it) and improved the white blaket.
Oh, and don't worry: the course will be entirely on 3.3. Couldn't be otherwise on a VTC

Some changes to the design and also took you guys' suggestions.
Cameras 001 (night), 002, 007 and 008 were rendered in progressive mode and denoised in Lightroom. Have to say, I'm fairly impressed by the speed: 33% faster than Adaptive sampler. Sweet!

And a 33% spread increase, over adaptive, is getting me interested in trying it out on my current scene.
