I agree with the grass comment, there is a great tutorial on this site to do grass displacement maps, look for the sheep images. It will help your grass tons. As for the interior image, make sure you are using photoshop or something to touch up the image after it renders, are those RPC people? because they often have problems with not being grounded in the scene they appear to float and make the floor seem like ice. try putting shadows on them in post. What year level are you in school? Nice to see students using GI systems

            hi,

i don't want to be mean, only honest...

but i think your design is rather bland and under-developed. the decision to use a photo-realistic rendering style is working against you in this regard.

your level of detail in the modelling is quite low, which is great for early concept illustrations (because we don't want people commenting on the type of door knob or window frame, etc you modelled) but the level of realism in the materials and lighting does not sit well with this amount of modelled detail.

i think these images would work much better if all materials were removed, and just differentiated with various solid colours for the different materials and finishes, or if materials were pasted on in photoshop to clearly communicate that you are only presenting them with an idea, not trying to shove a finished product under their noses.

what is the idea behind the cultural centre? what inspired the forms and compositions you have arrived at?
