    Hey Zublian

    Looks terrific!

(What did you use to crate the reflections? Is it all modeled or a hdri?)

    cheers

I normally dont go so far into critiquing images, but this is sooo close to being photoreal to me that I couldn't resist. I hope youll take them in mind.

      1. This looks a little odd to me..Is it moulding? and what is the black line in there? I might just have took it all the way up the image.

      2. These are the weakest part of the image. They look like your trying for anistropic reflections, but they aren't receiving the same nice lighting the rest of the image is. maybe a nice subtle bump would help as well.

      3. The bottom of the cabinet seems to just disappear into the bottom. See the other wall and how it does not.

      4. Im not sure what these are, but they give a confusion to the image because they are too black and lack any definition.

      5. Not sure here, but the shadows look mangy to me. I could be wrong on this one.

Over all Id add some very subtle wear to the items. those corners on the wood paneling just looks tooo perfect. same with the glossy floor (or whatevevr you want to call it.) The same with the specular for the black handles... too perfect...

Anyways, other than the other crits, this is an amazing image, surpassed only by its further potential!

egz- lol ill buy a monitor in these week any recomendation btw i think your monitor is also a little dark im watchin my scene in my friends monitor and it looks ok .
My monitor is calibrated regularily since I do a lot of print work and need to see colors correctly, so I don't think it's dark. If you look at the histogram of your image in the levels dialogue in Photoshop you will see that you have lots of clamping going on.

If you're looking for a good color-accurate monitor I would recommend the LaCie Electron Blue IV 22", these are great monitors that used to cost three times as much just a few years ago.

            Very nice realism.

And by the way: it's a Micheal Graves waterketel, not an Aldo Rossi in sight.

A problem with giving a critique on an up-close and very realistic image like this is not that it's hard. It's easy to point out the things that seem wrong in the image. The hard part is fixing these things to make it even better. I think it's amazing how much patience you must have Zuliban.

            Keep it up.

            Marc

All I've seen from you lately Maestro is so close to perfection that it really commotes me!
But a question arises: What is the sense of your latest works: a hobby, practice, developing
new techniques or just as a modern form of art?
                  My admiration

                      egz:
That lacie is exactly the same as the NEC Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB Monitor (which i have) same tube and everything.

So i can vouch for its quality....awesome monitor!!!

                      zuliban:
                      Awesome render mate!!
What HDRI are you using for the render? is it a custom made one? or something completely different?
Also how did u model the low voltage down light, because the reflections in the inside of the light look very good, all block and segmented like in real life.

Some people here lack the serious eye.. by no means this is photoreal.

Care to say why you think this is not photoreal?

it's probably not perfect....but it's damn close IMO....
