good start, i like the quality of light in the room, maybe add some direct light to simulate the sun.

theres the first time for every one my problem with the size of my scenes, heres a post i got from discreet forum - it realy helps:

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FILE SIZE BLOAT, HUGE MAX FILES - MAX 6

        - the solution is a one you would have never guessed..

        Do the following:
        1. Go to file > XRef Objects and close it again.
        2. Go to File > XRef files and close it again
        3. Go to the pink text box on the left bottom of your screen. Type in: gc() and press enter
        4. Save the file.

My files went down from 200Mb to 500Kb. I still have to do it once in a while because the files seem to become bigger the whole time.

        - Its something to do with forcing a garbage collection (gc)

        - I've found it works without [steps] 2 and 3 as well, but do recall that the XRef steps have been mentioned here before. Kevin Gleeson

Im curious. correct me if im wrong but it seems like your going at this all wrong. Wouldnt you model everything first, and then worry about the lighting? Just because in the end stuff may be blocking direct and indirect light?

Also, i dig the first shot the most, reminds me of the Animatrix.

Vortex...i opened the file...and its a mess...youre using and combining standard and vray materials that slows down your calculation....youre not suppose to combine metal shaders..blin, phong should be used...and you should use photometric lights with proper ies files....your rendering time is to slow....too many light....

You are right its a mess, i ve started using default materials and did not change them. Ive use the scene converter and going to try some new render.

The photometric used are the; 15...-nice.ies and the other from Erco Lighting (i think).
